Surprise diferencial characteristic
A genuine surprise has a differential characteristic between the seven basic emotions... It is the shortest in time duration. At most 2 seconds.
It is the time it takes for the person to make sense of something that happened suddenly and, so far, this brief interval of time, the surprised person still can not understand what's going on.

Look A. "Rumble" neutral expression (AU0) e ultra surprised just in the sequence
You can see that it fades in exactly two seconds. It as Paul Ekman theory says.
The surprise in the A. Johnson's face
Exactly the facial expression that Anthony Johnson shows just after win one very difficult opponent. No one expected that, it was UNEXPECTED, we knew it could happen but...
but no one imagined, not even Johnson, as we see in his face big surprise (AU5E AU2C + + AU27) such a dominant and quick victory (KO in Round1 = KO-R1)
Emotion intensity is the intensity of contraction
Ekman says, sound and clear, through their research, that the intensity of emotion is directly correlated with the intensity of facial contraction.
Note by the opening of the eyes and mouth "Rumble" how surprised he was that moment right after knock Gustafsson out.
